‘Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.’– Marilyn Monroe
When Moses appeared before the burning bush, God told him to remove his sandals because he was standing on a holy place. This shows us that human used to wear shoes many centuries ago even before modern shoe makers like Skechers, Nike, Timberland or Clacks came into existence.
Shoes are vital in adding the aesthetic value of our appearance and complementing our general looks in various occasions and situations. As a matter of fact, shoes are part of our lifestyle and they greatly influence our behavior and in the public by boosting our confidence.
However as much as we all love different designs and makes of shoes, we are more concerned about how presentable they make us appear and how comfortable we feel when we wear them.
There are different situation which will require a person to wear a certain type of shoes. If you are going for a workout or to participate in a sporting activity, it’s paramount that you wear sports shoes so that you will be comfortable during you training or exercise session. Also the clothes that we choose to wear for a certain occasion can only be well complemented by wearing a specific choice of shoes. For instance, if a man wears a suit, then such a person will be deemed fit to wear some official shoes.
The color of the shoes will also need to be chosen to correctly match the color and texture of the clothes worn.
“A shoe is not only a design, but it’s a part of your body language, the way you walk. The way you’re going to move is quite dictated by your shoes”.
The point is that the type of shoes that a person wears also helps the person to gain the right posture and stability while walking or doing normal activities and thus it’s necessary to wear correct fitting shoes which are comfortable on once feet. This helps the person feel comfortable and get the right posture required in that particular situation. If a person is participating in football, wearing of correct shoes will enable the person to have a good posture and be able to play comfortably and with great confidence.
We also wear shoes to protect our feet from germs and from injuring our feet while walking or partaking our normal activities.
Because of the various needs and purposes of wearing shoes, shoe makers and manufacturer concentrate on a given lineage of shoes such as sports shoes, official shoes or specific work shoes such as shoes used by miners or gardeners.
They also can specialize in shoes which are appropriate for different seasons and weather conditions. If it is raining, gum boots are most preferred because of the rain water which might cover most of earth’s surface. During winter, it also would be advisable to wear shoes which can provide some warmth since it will be cold and alternatively during warm seasons like summer, open shoe or light shoes would deem more appropriate to be worn.
One such shoe manufacturer which has been admired for ages because of the production of unique shoes of great quality and design are the makers of Air Jordan Nike shoes
The history of this specific website was all about different types of Air Jordan Nike shoes for both men and women – and children too. But it stayed the same for quite a while, figured it started to get a little bit boring… So now, I have made the decision to change it around a little and make it a whole lot more interesting than what it was. How I Turned My Life Around with Running
Before I started running I was a typical couch potato. I was not horribly out of shape, I could keep up with the kids for the most part and I was not considered obese. I was, however, overweight and I couldn’t run for more than a block before my lungs would start to burn. I knew I needed to find a way to build up my stamina and get into better shape, but running never seemed like an option. I couldn’t even make it down the street before my endurance quit on me, so I tried several other approaches to getting in shape.
But that changed when I started talking to a friend who told me how she was able to gradually build up her running stamina by going for little bursts at time and then walking in between. I was skeptical but she mentioned how much better she felt and how easy it was for her to stick to because she grew to really enjoy it. I decided to give it a try because I had not stuck with anything else at that point. I went to the store the next day to get real athletic footwear because I knew my flip flops were not going to cut it. The running shoes felt great and I was ready that evening to start running.
Turn Up The Music, Keep Going, and Don’t Stop!
It was really hard going at first. I wanted to give up because I was so discouraged by my lack of stamina and the fact that my running periods were getting shorter and my walking ones were getting longer. But I turned up my music, picked my favorite songs and made it through an entire half hour. I was exhausted but it felt good because all my muscles felt stretched and warm afterwards. The next day I did the same thing and kept trying to push myself through the running portions to go further and longer. I found that it helped if I gave myself markers, just get to the next tree, the next mailbox, just to the corner. It kept me going.
I Noticed A Difference Quickly
After a few weeks I really started to notice a difference, not only was my stamina improving but my energy throughout the day was improving as well. I wasn’t losing that much weight but I could see in my clothes and my face that I was getting into a better shape. It was my muscles that were getting bigger and heavier as my fat was coming off. After two months I had dropped a size and was running at least half of the 30 minutes. I realized that listening to my favorite music and running through an area that I loved was key to keeping up with the running.
I found out that I could something I had thought for years was beyond my reach and it really boosted my confidence. I am happier throughout the day and willing to try new things. It’s proven to me that running is just like anything else, you have to be willing to work for it and just get out there and try it. It will completely change your lifestyle.

For a couple of years, I did not know the importance of walking. Every time my friends would talked to me about it, I would ignore their advice. It was late when I realized the importance of walking after them explaining the health benefits that I was going to enjoy by adopting this new lifestyle. In addition, I knew the rate at which I was adding weight I was going to be obese if I did not take up new measures.

After doing it for 2 weeks, I started noticing changes in my health. After 2 weeks, I was able to walk longer distances, and even climb stairs where I was previously using elevators.
When it reached the 4th week, my health was totally changed due to a number of reasons. First, my mental state had improved significantly when compared to the previous days when I wasn’t walking. I was able to reason well at the same time understand things better especially during my part-time studies. I would lose weight and regain it after sometime since there was no exercise I was doing. In addition, I had experience numerous side effects on my health after using the weight loss pills sold in the market. This was the main reason why I had to look for new ways of losing weight leading to walking as among them.
My high blood pressure reduced significantly when compared to the previous days when I had problems. After going for blood pressure checkup, I was amazed on how it has improved when compared to the previous days.

How Walking Improved My Life
After giving birth to my twins, I started piling up a lot of pounds, and the weight gain slowly started to interfere with my self esteem. With each passing day, I felt like I was getting heavier, and it all seemed to be out of my control. Taking care of two babies was becoming overwhelming. Every time I looked at myself in the mirror, the image I saw reminded me of just how much I needed to lose the weight. At first, I considered dieting, but I couldn’t imagine sustaining a diet while breastfeeding two children at the same time.
Before I knew it, the pressure of taking care of my two babies, and the fear that I may never lose the weight started building up. In no time, I was showing symptoms of postpartum depression. Any small issue would send me on edge and make me cry for days. After talking to my doctor, he recommended light exercises such as walking to help me maintain a good physical and mental health.
I started doing regular walks around our block every evening after putting the babies to sleep. Immediately my husband came home from work, I would dress for my walk and leave the house. After a few days, I noticed that I was feeling pain in my feet.
It was as if the walks were putting a strain on my feet muscle. I contemplated stopping the fitness walking, but I decided to get better shoes instead. I went for the ones meant for walking and running. The relief I got was almost instant.
Noticing A Big Difference
Within a few weeks of doing my daily walks, I was able to see good results. I started losing some weight and this brought me so much happiness. My clothes were beginning to feel looser and fit better. What more, when I stepped into the weighing scale two weeks after I started the walks, I realized that I had lost 4 pounds.
This was exciting, considering the fact that before I started doing the walks, all I ever saw was an increase in weight. I was glad to know that I was getting good results and I was on the right path to maintaining good health.
The other thing is that, apart from keeping me fit, the walks provided me with a chance to relax. While I was enjoying motherhood, and the challenges it brings, I have to confess that sometimes I felt like I needed fresh air. Anytime I went for my walk, I enjoyed breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the music from my earphones without worrying about anything. It was a perfect way of dealing with my postpartum depression. It was the right way or me to distract myself and channel my energy. It was the kind of relaxation I needed to become a better mother.
Now my babies are older, and sometimes I take them for my walks in a stroller as a way of bonding with them. I have been able to lose even more weight, and as I prepare to go back to work, I am confident that I will not have to worry about image. My health is even better. I no longer feel like my lungs are on fire whenever I climb the stairs. I can also pick my babies and play around with them because my fitness level is high.
How I Managed To Lose Weight By Running
When I was struggling with overweight complications, I had lost my self esteem and I felt very embarrassed about my body weight. I tried many weight loss supplements but none of them seemed to work for me. After I couldn’t find anything good that could help me to lose more weight, I decided to visit a physician who recommended me to try out physical exercises as way of losing weight. My physician told me that running several minutes or hours a day could help to reduce my overall weight by about 40 percent. However, despite this advice I was too hesitant to try out running schedules for weight loss.
I Felt Embarrassed
One day when I was coming out from a shower, I decided to weigh myself with my weigh scale. I was so shocked to see the numbers displayed on the scale, my weight had gone up to 131 kgs which was a 10 kg increase from previous month weigh which was 121 kg. With these results, I knew I had to do something urgently to control my weight before it becomes uncontrollable for me. Since I had tried weight loss supplements that failed, I decided to try out running exercises for the first time.
What I Did About It
With too much pressure on me, I had to do something about my weight before my friends started to discuss about me. I knew that a planned schedule was the only way that I could follow up my routinized exercises and I decided to plot a good timetable. From Monday to Saturday, I planned to run 2 hours every day. One hour early in the morning and another hour late in the evening. My first day of running was a bit tough since I was not used to regular exercises and as I remember I didn’t run more than 30 minutes with my shoes. As running became hard for me, I decided to struggle with it since I had no other choice left for me.
On Day two of scheduled running exercise routine, I was able to motivate myself by listening to some music while running. I managed to run about 6 miles without feeling any discomfort, when I felt tired I reduced my running speed to a slower pace and increased it gradually after I regained energy. After running for so several days, without any missed schedule I weighed myself and I discovered that I had already lost more about 8.5 kgs in 5 days. I couldn’t believe that running was working out for me. I got more encouraged by the results and in my second week I increased more 2 hours to make it 4 hours of running everyday.
Even though it was hard for me to follow my schedule, the improvements that I had achieved kept me motivated and I desired to lose more weight everyday I woke up in the morning. As time passed by, I found myself to have practiced running exercises for more than 3 months. Every month I lost about 15 kgs and my friends started to notice my weight loss.
Most people who knew me, could not believe that I had managed to lose more than 40 (109 lbs) kgs in three months. I told them what I did to lose weight and they couldn’t believe it. Today I weigh about 80 kgs (177 lb) and I feel so healthy and comfortable than before. Running helped me to lose weight and improved my lifestyle in a great way.
